A QUESTION FOR MRS. FRANKLIN  By Lisa Panzer

On January 10th, Beacon Theatre Productions held readings for Lisa Panzer's new play, 'A Question for Mrs. Franklin' and The Trial of Susan B. Anthony by Mary Walton at The PHILADELPHIAN. .Attendance numbered over 100 and feedback was tremendous, including many intelligent and provocative comments to the playwrights.

'A Question for Mrs. Franklin' focuses on the life of Deborah Franklin, wife of Ben Franklin. Deborah Read Rogers Franklin addresses the question of her husband Ben's absence, his whereabouts and work overseas on behalf of "all of us here in the colonies", and interacts with the audience by asking a pert question or two of her own.  It is a fun and educational experience with a lively lady for those with a fresh perspective on life, liberty and love in mid eighteenth century Philadelphia.

Thank you to all who came, and made a difference. Hope you enjoyed it!!
